Final Solution is part of a proposed glass labyrinth which was shown at the Ben Uri in April 2007.
This is a larger panel produced 1000mm high which is now part of the permanent collection of the Ben Uri.
The images are obvious in that they are based on photographs taken when the death camps were liberated. The work focuses on how people treat each other.

The work is about persecution, in this case Jewish. Included in the glass is hidden text. The text, by St Augustine, represents some of the underlying Christian pronouncements which have used to justify anti-Semitism.

This piece was produced specifically for the exhibition at the Ben Uri in 2007 and is based on the screen printed and fabric panel produced at ECAT several years before.
It is about being brought up Jewish in the 1950’s when religious persecution was still rife and it was able to act upon it.
The piece questions the notion that antisemitism and discrimination whether on religion, race, age, gender or any other difference to the norm has decreased or whether it is now just hidden due to antidiscrimination legislation now in place.
